Terraspace Sumeru is a 9 Acre Gated community in Coimbatore, India that is located in the outskirts of Coimbatore. The developer is from Chennai and he took over the project from a friend of his. His friend had brought forth the Architect, Structural and MEP consultants. The project hit ground in 2011 and has still not been completed since then.

The developer had begun work and the site was progressing based on drawings and details that were prepared earlier. The project was mismanaged on several levels and it was in deep trouble. The architecture was poorly developed and the elevations were poorly executed. This lead to almost no sales and the developer was in dire need of fresh eyes and a new form of dedication which the earlier designers did not provide. We came to know about this and we saw it as a great opportunity to help someone in trouble. We knew that with this opportunity, there resided a great deal of pressure since we were not only responsible for overall beautification of the project, but we had to also translate that into sales.

We took this bold leap and broke the project into several parts. Character had to be brought forth to buildings that were poorly executed with missing details. The master plan lacked character and a lot of work had to be done from creating a fresh material Palette, introducing a hierarchy of landscape features, choosing plants and trees that produced extra oxygen, roads that had unique characters and last but not the least the design of the play area and giving utmost importance to children safety. The masterplan also ensured that there were sufficient spaces for social interaction since there were nearly 156 families. The 12,000 sqft club house was a concrete structure when we entered and it was completely revamped with minimalistic interiors.
The project is now a hallmark project in Coimbatore and the sales grew through time and we have signed up a contract for their Phase two.
