The scope was to design a functional yet elegant structure that seamlessly integrated with the existing setup while enhancing its architectural presence. We crafted a metal framework with carefully staggered purlins, creating a visually dynamic roofline. Integrated lighting within these purlins added both functionality and aesthetic appeal, making the structure stand out, especially at night. In specific areas, we introduced double columns to break the monotony and add a layer of architectural interest. To provide protection from rain, we incorporated polycarbonate sheets over the metal framework, ensuring the ticketing area for vehicles remained dry and functional in all weather conditions. The design had to adapt to the pre-existing boom barriers, and we worked within this grid to achieve a simple yet impactful solution that balanced practicality and architectural refinement. The result is a structure that elevates the experience of the space while staying true to its functional requirements.
